Born in the heart of Austin, Texas, The Bandulus (pronounced ban-doo-loos) are a soul-soaked force in the world of ska and reggae. Fronted by founding member Jeremy Peña, the band's dynamic core includes Mario Salazar, and Leah Farmer, each bringing their own deep musical roots and energy to the stage and studio.

With a sound that pays homage to the golden age of Jamaican ska, while infusing it with elements of soul, early reggae, and rocksteady, The Bandulus have carved a unique space in the modern ska revival scene. Their heartfelt lyrics and tight rhythms have won over fans across the U.S. and beyond.

Over the course of their career, The Bandulus have released five full-length studio albums, showcasing their growth as musicians and songwriters. Their most recent two records were released through the respected European ska label Badasonic Records, further cementing their place on the international ska and reggae map. Known for their powerful live performances and deep respect for tradition, The Bandulus continue to evolve, offering a fresh but faithful take on a timeless genre.

DEM ROOTS MUSIC.

The center and founder of the group, singer/songwriter Louis Morales, didn't want the name to be the identification of the band, but be more about the music and the experience.

Dem first appeared in 2016 as Morales' stage name, when he was playing gigs in his hometown of Galveston, TX. He quickly began to collect musicians into his project, leading him to today's solid cast of six: Pat Kelly (drums) and Kevin B (lead guitar) of The Suffers, Liam Haney (bass) of Houston's Third Coast Roots, Sel Philips Caveraz (drums), and Allison Lopez (sax).

As the world was locking down at the start of 2020, Dem's Pat, Allison, Sel, and Louis joined forces with Austin musicians Dane Folton (bass, Lion Heights), Jeremy Carlson (keys, Lion Heights), and Mario Salazar (lead guitar, The Bandulus) to Tall Sky Studios in Austin, where they recorded their first album. Citing it as being a positive but strange experience to record during shut-down, the band quickly realized that the overarching message of the music was about understanding yourself - a phrase that everyone can relate to.

Shortly after recording, and upon returning to Houston, Louis found the final members of his crew. Their first full-length album Forward Ever, it out now!
